EQUIPMENT INSPECTOR Protecting workers at-height is a challenging task and is dependent on particular job site situations and individual worker duties. There are many fall protection solutions available to workers, each having its own specific requirements. Understanding each option and proper implementation requires oversight by an experienced individual with a higher-level of knowledge and safety training. This two-day course educates students on the various components of a worksite fall protection program and will also help develop the skills required of a Competent Person. Participants will learn course content through a combination of direct classroom instruction and multiple workshops. Course participants are those who may be involved with a managed fall protection program including the employer, supervisor, safety personnel, workers, and rescuers. The course material will provide students with an engaging and enjoyable learning environment.

This course prepares personnel to safely perform rescue operations for workers suspended in fall protection systems. Participants learn the correct use of rescue equipment, emergency response procedures, and how to assess and manage rescue situations quickly and effectively. The training emphasizes minimizing suspension trauma, maintaining scene safety, and ensuring proper coordination during rescue operations. Through practical demonstrations and scenario-based instruction, participants gain the confidence and competence required to respond to fall incidents in accordance with industry standards and workplace safety programs. This course is intended for rescue team members, supervisors, safety personnel, and any workers designated with rescue responsibilities in environments where fall protection systems are used.

Course Description - Every day, on job sites around the world, tools and other objects are dropped from heights, causing injury and damage. This four-hour program describes the concepts, principles, and equipment, focusing on how and why to "stop the drop" before it starts. The course covers the leading causes of dropped objects, and the methods to control them, so students leave with the practical knowledge they need to recognize and address the hazard. The course material is energetically delivered and includes hands-on activities and demonstrations, all with a focus on student participation and engagement. The course is classroom based, taught by one of our highly qualified and effective instructors. Students will be provideda course manual for use during the course, and for future reference. Upon successful course completion, certification is granted for a three-year period.
